Sofitel Dubai, Downtown

On my journey to the middle east, I decided to have two stopovers in Dubai. The Sofitel Hotel in Downtown Dubai was an excellent choice for a 1-night stay. Located only 15 minutes from the airport, and minutes within walking distance to the Dubai Mall, City Walk, aquarium, and Burj Khalifa, it was the perfect choice for a quick recovery and day of site seeing.
As they say, “live the French way,” the hotel is decorated with the most inviting and trendy designs. The rooms are huge, and if you request (or get lucky!) you can have a beautiful view of the Burj or the cityscape.
Breakfast is not included, but completely worth the cost, as there is quite a selection for various types of cuisine. Arabian food differs from all over the region, so this is not to miss!
My favorite part, the infinite pool with the view of the city and Burj. They have an outside bar as well, and it is the most peaceful place in such a bustling city. The Wakame Restaurant is located inside as well and serves exquisite modern Asian cuisine. There is also a hookah lounge to enjoy after dinner.
